Design concept for an fashion event invitation.

The project consisted in printing the “Daisy Bell” poem that the supercomputer HAL recites as it is being dismantled in the final sequences of the Stanley Kubrick film “2001 A Space Odyssey” from a dot-matrix printer. The poem repeats endlessly on the continuos feed paper. Here is the poem:

Daisy, Daisy
Give me your answer do
I’m half crazy
all for the love of you

The project was printed on our printer’s office dot-matrix printer (normally used for printing office receipts) over the course of a weekend and then delivered in a custom printed business-envelope to each invited guest. Inside each envelope was printed a 18th century pastoral scene painting.
