*a good friend gave us some advice once for when you’re short of ideas for exhibitions: “either use balloons or use an animal (like a horse)” and he has been proven right time again

Video artwork called “Holes In Between” published in This is a magazine and Compendium #4 DVD

In collaboration with sound-artists Sinistri* (ex-Starfuckers) this non-metric video-work consists of about 30 or so seconds of HD video of a white horse extended to the entire 6 minute duration of the piece. This process of extreme slowing of the footage required the computer software to “invent” new frames that were not there originally, so the result is an attempt to “fill” the holes in between. Originally shown at Netmage, a fringe performance festival in Bologna, Italy. Then later shown as part of a PICA exhibition called Hijacked and also in other places.

*Sinistri is comprised of Manuele Giannini, Alessandro Bocci and Roberto Bertacchini

Published Everything will be OK DVD of various artists from the This is a magazine project

The duration of each piece on the DVD is represented as a pie-chart, no packaging other than a transparent plastic sleeve was used since all the relevant information is printed directly on the DVD itself

In addition to the video section, all site-specific editions of This is a magazine from 1 to 13 are archived on the ROM section (viewable by placing the DVD into a computer and exiting the video player)
